Here's your chance to quilt it yourself! In this two-day workshop learn a strategy called "cyndikation" that shows you how to divide your quilt into 2-4 large sections for ease of quilting even a queen or king size. On the first day, Cindy will help you set up your machine and share the latest tools and products to make the machine quilting doable on your own home sewing machine. She will teach you how to choose the correct needle, threads, quilting designs, and techniques for you and your quilt. (Note: If you choose to free motion quilt, you need to be experienced with free motion quilting.) By the second day you will have at least two sections quilted and then learn how to join those sections using "cyndikation". Many participants leave the workshop with their quilt completed and ready to bind. To be prepared for the workshop, use the supply list and bring a completed quilt top, except do not add the borders. If the borders are attached, we will help you "unsew" them. Bring your border fabric with you. If you would like to learn this technique but to do not have a quilt top ready to quilt, we have a simple pieced top pattern that makes a great lap size quilt or baby quilt depending on your choice of fabrics. It is called "Summer Sunshine", a sample hangs in the shop and patterns are available for $7.00 at the counter. This versatile top can be easily pieced in a day or two. Follow the instructions and complete the top leaving it in three sections. When you come to the workshop, you will be ready to quilt and will most likely have your quilt completed by the end of the second day. You may leave your machine overnight
